"Friday" update

Just a quick update on our calf "Friday". (He is too cute not to share some photo's with you.)
K. has been feeding him and he loves to follow her around, sometimes having a suck on her hand, leg or her clothes. Friday has grown in size and we have been letting Friday out with all the cows with their own calves around the house yard, now Friday knows that he is a real cow. He is quite funny when he is out with the herd. He's not as placid as he is in the house yard.....he is a calf with ATTITUDE!! He kicks his feet up in the air and moo's. Just wish it was easier to get him to come home for a feed. Anyway, Friday is doing very well.
I do hope to blog again soon with some crafting but at this point I've got zippo to share.

Mother's Day is coming soon.

Just a little reminder that Mother's Day is just around the corner and you should get your crafting gear out and make your Mum a very special card. Here's a few ideas to get you started.

I asked my hubby which one he liked best.
Can you guess?
Leave me a comment.
Hope to here from you!

Could not resist snapping this sunset yesterday.
Have fun making your Mother's Day card.

Dinosaurs

Quick and very easy to make! These cards were made with some stickers from the cheap shop, the big shot machine and some papers.
For this orange card, I used the big shot machine to cut out the circle, I inked the edge of the circle, stamped a greeting and attached the dinosur sticker.

For this blue card, I cut out the scallop circle and embossed the greeting using the big shot.
In this green card I used the dotty embossing folder to give my background a lift. I also embossed the greeting onto plain bazzill. Super simple...but I think that a little dinosaur lover will love any of these cards.
Enjoy!

Creating In the Pink Zone!

Hi...I must have been in my pink zone for these cards.

I cracked open a new set of embossing folders. See dots and sentiment's below. Cranked up the handle on the Big Shot and got creating some pink cards.

These could be my favourite colours for this month.....maybe??

I may have to make my Mum a Mother's Day Card in these colours this year.

Have you made anything pink lately?

Meet Friday

Hi Everyone, Just wanted to share a bit of a story about an orphan calf that we named "Friday". Hubby found him last week and brought him home from our other block of dirt. The poor little calf had no mother and when hubby found him "Friday" thought that the tractor might be his mother and went under it looking for a feed.
On arriving home Friday spent the first couple of nights in the shed then we moved him down to the house yard to be closer to us. Friday has stayed in the house yard since and has become great mates with "Trigger" the dog. They lick each other and play together....it is real sweet!!
I can see that Friday is going to become a problem in my garden.....very soon...
...but for now we are all having a great time with Friday. So glad it is holidays and we can spend so much time with him.
Enjoy your holidays.....
Gayle
P.S. I have been creating some cards, which I will share with you all soon. Just wanted to introduce you all to "Friday".

TOO MANY TU-TU'S

Hi Everyone,
Thank you for visiting today!

I wanted to share my experience making Tu-Tu's for some very sweet young girls...I maybe a little biased...Above is the after shot of one of the Tu-Tu's and below is the in progress shots. What a mess.
Rachel asked if I could make an outfit for the school fete, I quizzed my good friend "outback crafter" and we came up with a great idea for their costumes. Then after a few grey hairs........3 TU-TU'S were made.

Here are the three completed Tu-Tu's.

On another note....our cows are calving. The baby calves are so cute at this stage.

Wishing you all a happy Easter.

Home Sweet Home

Hi there,
Sorry about these pictures....you can really see how much I love to iron.
Here's what I am working on at the moment. I made one for my sister awhile back and had planned to make one for myself one day..... So a few weeks back I started my very own "Home Sweet Home" wall hanging. I just have to make the whale on the roof of the middle house look like a bird, iron it and frame it.
I  thought that I would hang it in the spare bedroom....but Rachel thinks it should be hung in the lounge room. Any suggestions...

I also made myself a bag for work. It will hold my lunch and a folder in the front pocket to keep all my papers neat.

The bunny has found a home...he is now the remote bunny!!

Hope you all have a great weekend.

Inspired by .....

Hi there,
I have been inspired by some crafty people.
Tracey goes to our local craft group, UFO Crafters, and has been making some very cute and adorable critters for a worthy cause. I stumbled across the pattern for these bowling bunnies in among my patterns and felt the need to create....
Random sunsets.....I love this time of the day. The purple and pink sunset was seen on the way to UFO Craft one Tuesday night!!

Inspired by other crafters...Thank you!!

Not too sure where this little bunny will live...
The idea for the pin cushion below was found on Pinterest. I loved this quote and just had to have one for me!

You never know when you may inspire others. So on that note....I'll keep sharing my creative bit's and pieces.

Quilty cards

Hi, I hope that you are all enjoying the rain. I find that I am most productive when it is rainy weather. Today is NOT the case. I have been ??? not sure actually where today went.
These cards are cards that I made some time ago and have recently photographed. When I looked at them to title this blog post I thought they reminded me of quilts...I hope you like them too.

These last two cards do not remind me of quilts but thought I would add them in aswell as I do love the colours.
