More male cards

Trust me....you can never have enough male cards. Male cards are generally harder to slap together because you can't just stick a flower on it to jazz it up. Below I have used the buckle off my hubbies old shorts and threaded a trim through it. I have also clear embossed the Man of the House stamp to make it stand out more.

Simple card for a males 21st.
I have a story I would like to share....My daughter wanted to buy a card for her friend. She wanted a card that sings when you open it up. Now, I have been making cards since 2001 and I haven't bought a card in all that time. So I was a bit upset that she wanted to puchase a card and not give one that I had made. Anyway you sometimes do what you have to to keep the peace. So my daughter selected the card and I went to the counter to pay for the card and it came to $15. I think I was gobsmacked!! I realised that over the years my cardmaking maybe has saved me $$$$.

Enjoy your cardmaking!!

Orange...Missing in action

As Brooke can tell you....I love orange....(I also think that green could be my next favourite colour) so since I haven't made anything orange for soooo long. I reached into my scrap box, pulled a few orange pieces of scrap paper, selected the dotty background paper in a 6x6 paper pad and whipped up this ORANGE card....

This one could pass off as orange too....
I love how the layering of the butterfly makes the wings look like they are moving.
This is a recent sunrise through the fog.

Very sorry about the long pause to my blogging....again.... Life gets in the way.
My apologies.
Occasionaly I will be given something and I think that I will use it to make something crafty and the item will sit and sit for ages and I will not use it. Then one cool winter day I get creating and use it. Today I pulled out the white plastic sticker sheet that was given to me and ran it through the Big Shot and made the "tweet and bird" below. It was great....no need for any adhesive on the fiddly "tweet" wording....I love quick cards.

Brooke made this tag at the markets on the weekend. I couldn't resist adding it to my card below.
 Love these papers....prima almanac collection

"Friday" update

Just a quick update on our calf "Friday". (He is too cute not to share some photo's with you.)
K. has been feeding him and he loves to follow her around, sometimes having a suck on her hand, leg or her clothes. Friday has grown in size and we have been letting Friday out with all the cows with their own calves around the house yard, now Friday knows that he is a real cow. He is quite funny when he is out with the herd. He's not as placid as he is in the house yard.....he is a calf with ATTITUDE!! He kicks his feet up in the air and moo's. Just wish it was easier to get him to come home for a feed. Anyway, Friday is doing very well.
I do hope to blog again soon with some crafting but at this point I've got zippo to share.

Mother's Day is coming soon.

Just a little reminder that Mother's Day is just around the corner and you should get your crafting gear out and make your Mum a very special card. Here's a few ideas to get you started.

I asked my hubby which one he liked best.
Can you guess?
Leave me a comment.
Hope to here from you!

Could not resist snapping this sunset yesterday.

Dinosaurs

Quick and very easy to make! These cards were made with some stickers from the cheap shop, the big shot machine and some papers.
For this orange card, I used the big shot machine to cut out the circle, I inked the edge of the circle, stamped a greeting and attached the dinosur sticker.

For this blue card, I cut out the scallop circle and embossed the greeting using the big shot.
In this green card I used the dotty embossing folder to give my background a lift. I also embossed the greeting onto plain bazzill. Super simple...but I think that a little dinosaur lover will love any of these cards.
Enjoy!

Creating In the Pink Zone!

Hi...I must have been in my pink zone for these cards.

I cracked open a new set of embossing folders. See dots and sentiment's below. Cranked up the handle on the Big Shot and got creating some pink cards.

These could be my favourite colours for this month.....maybe??

I may have to make my Mum a Mother's Day Card in these colours this year.

Have you made anything pink lately?

Meet Friday

Hi Everyone, Just wanted to share a bit of a story about an orphan calf that we named "Friday". Hubby found him last week and brought him home from our other block of dirt. The poor little calf had no mother and when hubby found him "Friday" thought that the tractor might be his mother and went under it looking for a feed.
On arriving home Friday spent the first couple of nights in the shed then we moved him down to the house yard to be closer to us. Friday has stayed in the house yard since and has become great mates with "Trigger" the dog. They lick each other and play together....it is real sweet!!
I can see that Friday is going to become a problem in my garden.....very soon...
...but for now we are all having a great time with Friday. So glad it is holidays and we can spend so much time with him.
Enjoy your holidays.....
Gayle
P.S. I have been creating some cards, which I will share with you all soon. Just wanted to introduce you all to "Friday".
