Hi all, I don't have enough time to do a crafty blog post (Mum is coming to stay and I really need to clean the house and get organised for a busy weekend) so I have added a photo of a recent sunrise. It was a foggy morning and the sun was very pretty coming up in all the fog. I couldn't resist snapping away. I hope that you are all being very crafty if not, get to it!!

Today....

I did this some time ago after seeing it on another blog. It was a bit of fun, so today I will do it again.

Outside my window........not much is happening, but it is a pleasant day with the sun shining.

In the kitchen.....I am cooking a roast for dinner and I have iced a birthday cake for R. Happy Birthday R.

I am wearing......My work uniform( i couldn't be bothered changing out of it after work so I am still in those clothes)

I should be.....cleaning, hanging out washing, doing bookwork. (lucky these can all wait)

I am creating.......Today I had to create a B'day card for R ( of course)

I am looking forward to..........our local show this weekend.

Leave a comment (Be fearless and speak now) and tell me what you are up to or do this same little exercise on your blog.
Happy Crafting

Thank you, Blazeaid!

This may seem like a strange photo, a group of people sitting around in a paddock. (This is actually us all having lunch on the fenceline) This photo to me shows very generous people who have given up their time and energy to help others out when they need it. (Some had travelled from as far a Canberra) These are the group of Blazeaid volunteers who helped us to rebuild part of our boundary fence after the flood. With these volunteers help, we resurected about 2km of fencing on this day. We are so thankful to these vlounteers who helped us and our neighbours. You can see the debris left from the flood in the photo and under that debris was (usually) some of our fence. We would pull it up and beat off the debris and dried mud, hammer the post's in and hook the wires back on. It was great working with these men and women and we thank them again.

Simply Cards

Here is a couple of very quick cards for you to make. The top card uses a few flower rub-ons cut in half and applied to the card to add interest, an embellishment and some hand drawn lines.
This is a great card for any male and it is so simple to make and you can use up your offcuts of paper from your stash. I have used all the same line of papers (basic grey- little black dress) which makes for easy coordinating.(yes I cheat)

SCRAP 4 FUN Banner

I made this banner to hang up at our market stall. I am hoping that it will brighten the place up. At the moment I have it hanging between my kitchen and lounge-rooms. I do have to duck under to pass through the 2 rooms so I think it will soon have to move, but for now it looks bright and cheery.
It is a little hard to see but I have frayed the edges and it is backed with black and white check material.
See the pile of electric blankets ready to put on the beds. I was meant to be doing that rather than making the banner (a little too boring).....we will have one more cool night without the electric blankets.
This photo shows the check material, the bright trim and lettering fabric.

Nearly a month ago I did my last post. Time has just flown by. Today I got some precious time to make cards for upcoming events. (A birthday card for my sister and Mother's day cards and a few commissioned cards to make.)
Above is a close up of the owl-he is a rub-on and so is the tree(below).

These are more rub-on's from the same pack. They look really nice with Basic Grey "Little Black Dress" 6x6 " papers.

P.S Don't forget to make your Mum a card for Mother's Day and show her that you care.

"Authentique"

This is a card that I have made using a 6x6" bundle by "Authentique". They are gorgeous colours-orange, blue and brown. Some of my favourites!!
I think that I have said this before ....and I will say it again!....It is so easy to coodinate using these paper packs!!
With patterns of spots, stripes, and flowers they can be made up into cards for male or females. Below is the side view of the card.

Have you got lot's of photo's from one event/object. (Mine were taken with the camera in the portrait position) Group these photo's together across the page for maximum impact and embellish. This is one very easy scrapped page done and 6 less photo's in the queue to scrap!!
Next weekend we will be at the Roma Farmers and Artisan's Markets for some St Patrick's Specials........See you there.

Hi there

Just letting you all know that we are still around the place...but have been very busy and unfortunatlely the blog is left behind. I will add a few photos of what I have been up to lately. (I won't add all the boring photo's of the piles of washing, cooking, mustering, fencing, cleaning and driving here and there that I have done....just the fun crafty stuff!!)
This is a card with an interesting fold that sits up to view. The papers used were given to me from a UFO secret santa swap we had. I think that they are beautiful colours....Thanks Olivia!!
I hear there is a UFO blog.Check it out here.
I have done a few other crafty things but am having a few computer issues so will do so soon. I hope that you are all doing lot's of crafty things.

Quote!!

Families are like fudge-
mostly sweet
with a few nuts.
This is one of the quotes that I am stitching at the moment to make a shaggy quilt. I will keep you posted on the other quotes as I start stitching each one. I have asked each member of my family to contribute a favourite quote. This is my quote that I chose.( Not sure who the nuts are in my family???) Will show you the stitched quote soon....
I am hoping that life will settle back into a "normal" routine very soon. We have had a flood in our region that has been very devastating to many people. I hope that you are all well wherever you are!!
